I am saddened to hear Richard Simmons has just passed away. For those of you living on mars. Richard Simmons was a fitness instructor or icon to me during the 80s  he opened his own fitness studio The Anatomy Asylum before it was rebranded to Slimmons, in Los Angeles. He  made exercising fun  which isn’t a

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdCkMljDXEw So happy he won his case. I always prayed it would have a happy outcome. A Ghanaian man Nelson Shardey who came to study accountancy in England 1977 then stayed and never left he  built a life with family bought a house and has been a resident since 50 years. Then in sad turn of

Unlike some  proclaimed  non-racist organisations in Britain that refuse to give opportunities to young black adults. It’s good to see Glastonbury hasn’t followed  that bad example. The line-up for this year’s festival was one of the most diverse ever. And fun fact the Nigerian  entertainers were a huge part of the line-up and slayed it.

They say you can find love in unexpected places. This truly is one of those cases. A woman being trapped in a elevator and then falling in love with the first responder. I just wonder did they date are they married. I want details. Both  are accomplished individuals in their respected fields . Who look

British politics  truly is getting nasty. I’m really disheartened about the cruel mockery that former PM Rishi Sunak is still being subjected to despite his devastating and humbling loss. Where’s the ‘don’t kick someone when their  already down’. And what I find sad is that the people mocking him are fellow ethnics from different parties.

I’m so proud of the man Barron Trump has grown into. Literally have you seen the size of him he definitely could be cast in a superhero movie without auditioning. Why I applaud him despite his family’s  vast wealth he still is willing to pursue his education and struggle and build a career for himself.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1EKvu-Ic-TA I truly hope Jovan Owusu-Nepaul isn’t a one hit wonder, and that he will only be remembered for being the  most stylish British  political candidate ever. This dashing young man campaigned like a champion in the seat of Clacton but he ultimately lost. But I hope that this isn’t a end for his potential illustrious

Another thing that’s bugging me is this British government you hear them rehiring key figures in the Blair and Brown government. All a particular race. But you  wonder where is the former MP Chuka Umunna. A distinguished black-British politician who was , Shadow Business Secretary, Shadow Minister for Small Business and Enterprise. So he has the skills

Why is it that council estates are left to rot even when some can be fixed with a lick of paint, and there is no sense of community everyone’s in the house  no interaction. Why is a Italian café is fit for the city but not worth of being in areas like a NW London estate. It

I too made the mistake of misusing my vote for a top politician, and after they won. I got discarded like a used tissue. I remember the cheeky chancer got their aide to phone me and ask me to officially back  them which i did then after  no thanks. So if I’m good for a

My heart goes out  to the German MP Karamba Diaby is stepping down from his seat due to racist abuse he’s encountered since entering the political scene in 2013. The Senegalese-born politician politician has been subjected to abuse which is  a thing of nightmares from arson to his office and threatening letters and calls. I

All I can say is we the public have a short memory. There’s so much praised lavished on the great   Bukayo Saka for overcoming the dreaded penalty in yesterday’s Euro Semi-final qualifier. But this same Saka in another previous match missed a penalty along with other black players like Marcus Rashford, and was subjected to so

To me this man Teddy Swims is criminally underrated. He has so  much potential to be the next Al Green. When I came across this   duet cover  for his song ‘Lose Control’. What’s not to love it has one of the best veteran  vocalist out there  the lovely Kelly Clarkson and he holds his own

Mitt Romney is one of my favourite politicians ever.Even though he contested against my hero Barack Obama I still admire him due to his sense of class and sincerity. He is one of the few politicians currently out there that can vote their conscience no hidden agenda,  even when going against his party’s rules. To me it

Being a carer it takes a lot out of you and at times we take care of the person but don’t have anyone to take care of us.But the royal family have rallied around Prince William ,and his adorable children who I know are his pillar of strength. Not enough is emphasized on the magnitude of

A man that looked like his body was created by NASA ,and those eyes were just smouldering and can lure you in.I ‘m doing my best miss marple impression and trying to piece together his life, but I think I’m on the verge of surrendering my badge.Sterling saint jacques birth date is even clouded in

Wow we have weathered the storm and there is now a sense of calmness which the country so desperately needs. What ever gripe people have with the current new government,I think the country’s voice was finally heard and so the will of the people prevailed.I think when your seen as out of touch and your party

I always say listen to your parents when they voice concerns especially about people maybe if the beautiful late star Selena Quintanilla did she would have been with us today.Selena was a young tejano  star who rose  from obscurity due to her energetic performances and determination to take her family away from  poverty.Due to her

Money can’t buy happiness but at least it can buy you a place to live .For people who are living on a  different planet due to housing crisis there is rising rent ruthless private landlords and lack of  social housing being built to meet the needs of the overcrowded population especially in cities like London

I truly hope this is a joke that a political party wants to withhold people’s benefits to force them to work.If so that is borderline cruel.I know there’s a lot of people abusing the benefit  system especially since the pandemic ,but this is not the way to solve the crisis.By targeting people that are genuinely

Children could be are best teachers as demonstrated in this story about ,a  elderly man on the verge of suicide since his wife death going to a supermarket and the rest is history. A young innocent girl out from nowhere demanded a hug from the elderly stranger and after that a friendship was born. I

Saturday Night Live will always have a special place in my heart, when me and the family use to get together in our London house we will watch the skits . And not the current ones I mean the classic tapings the ones with  legends like Dan Aykroyd  John Belushi and the one and only Gilda Radner. She

I want to dedicate this post to Ms Jacky Oh.She was a mum entrepreneur who died around last year after complications of cosmetic surgery. The sad irony I don’t think she needed the work she always radiated positivity in her YouTube videos and had serious swagger as a mum youtuber. She created a massive online following, and

To me it should be a crime a man so beautiful and equally talented  would have to be a server just to pay bills. That’s what former ”General Hospital” star Johnny Wactor had to do,and its a common practice for most  struggling or upcoming actors. But still Johnny did it with a smile on his

Truly hope Taylor Swift gets a rest. I’m a  fan ,but I don’t like how all the pressure that is placed  is on her to perform record number level of concerts around the world. She does nearly 3-4 hour shows and in heels mostly. I don’t think she should be working to this level at

I have always been a fan of Kendra Wilkinson since here days in the ”Playboy Mansion. She was definetly more than meets the eye.She could throw down on a basketball court if you don’t believe take a look at her jump shots ,and then could  rock a  bikini like no-ones business, and boy did she have

I’m so happy the  Duke Of Westminster Hugh Grosvenor has tied the knot.I can say from my personal experience he is a genuinely nice guy who is a credit to his parents. Why I have fond memories of the  Grosvenor family.I use to always do my celebrations with family and friend in their  hotel, and the staff

I too like the many of legion of corrie fans is shocked and gutted that legendary actress Helen Worth has decided to leave the famous cobbles after a nearly 50 year career.Blimey I don’t think I could stick at a job that long.I know some marriages that don’t even last that long. Her character Gail Platt

I was so happy to come across this story about 3 triplets who are obsessed with their garbageman. What makes the story special is the children are white and the garbage man is African-American.They were sad when his route changed so didn’t get to see him ,so the council arranged for him to stop by their

This story nearly left me in bucket of tears.A school bus driver developed a friendship with a ill girl. And it’s a friendship that bridges race and age relations and proves true love does  conquers all. What gets me is the girl’s infectious smile and her willingness to embrace life despite being dealt such  a cruel hand. Her

Hope Melton Case is a case I hope never happens again I watched ‘See No Evil Shadow Of Hope’.I admittedly couldn’t sleep that night in time that’s  how bad it was.A 30 year old  married school teacher spent Christmas with her  family then decided to drive and visit her grandma but ,as she was 15

What a man I again stress what you read doesn’t mean it will play out like that in real life. Take this productive man who decided after formative education to start a akara business down the street in Nigeria, and he  gave valuable employment to young men like himself. I broke out in sweat just

Were always on the impression that court case can be boring but no not these cases.Judges these days have to be prepared for the unexpected ,and I always wonder how everyone got on these cases got on especially the singing woman. And another question why is black tv judges popular in America but in Britain  they

Rugby star Rob Burrow has died ,and it is sad to imagine what his family are going through. But I want to use this space to applaud his selfless wife Lindsey. While on his tough battle of MND he managed to raise money and advocate about the issues of living with motor neurone disease. But I’m happy the

Behind every great man is a great woman. And in President Obama’s case it wasn’t only his lovely wife First Lady Michelle he had.He had the doting  mum Marian Robinson.I truly am saddened to learn of her passing and to me she was a hidden treasure whose value wasn’t always appreciated by the media at time. She

Heiress and Van Van.Where do I start I just watched one of my favourite shows Tamron Hall show. And came across the legendary rapper TI’s adorable daughter   rapping with her mate.I said time flies .I remember when she was born during the days of the TI Family Hustle show, and now she is starting her own

I was so impressed to come across a story about Melania Trump who has a ‘fostering the future’ initiative which provides scholarships and educational opportunities for foster kids. One of the most underprivileged and vulnerable demographics that’s out there. I was miffed  that why isn’t this side of Melania Trump highlighted  more in mainstream media.

Sometimes you  think you know someone’s story ,and then later  you find hidden chapters. That to me is  what then makes good reading. And even though its an old archive, I was so happy to see  the legendary Alicia Keys  be candid about her struggles ,and realise she too had the same disease  like me

I remember attending my colleague  Cllr Sara’s BBQ party in her garden right after a long day of canvassing way before the pandemic. Me and Natasha  sat in her massive garden and were filling up on her jerk bbq and some  proper beef burgers(I always wondered how she glamorously hosted a packed party and executed

What I find sad about  celeb culture. When a celebrity has a meltdown they  get forgotten about what made them originally hot in the first place. That sentiment definitely applies to Mindy Mccready She was a bubbly young blonde who burst on the  music scene during the 90s and had some success with tracks like

Wow where was I living. I cant believe I’ve just came  across this story that one of the first black councillors in UK  has just had his death been recognised last year after dying in 2003. Alderman Egbert Carless became the first Black councillor in Birmingham in 1979 and served nearly 20 years as a

I always like to have a song that will put me in the summer mood especially while I go with my mates to our annual beach vacation this  coming summer. There’s some songs no matter how old  you enjoy playing on that long drive and this Dustin Lynch ”sun dont go down on that” definitely

I always say the world is a small place you never know who you can bump into. Cora Jade who is a wrestler was  just like me a big fan of CM Punk and met him in a wrestling autograph signing, when she was young. And with pure determination used that as incentive to train

I was so impressed to come across   a cool fact  about a political icon the late Senator John McCain.I fairly have knowledge of him as I’ve studied his military and political record ,and was among the many people globally that mourned  his death from  brain cancer.I remember watching his funeral service with colleagues and family

Doesn’t it sound like an old Bob Marley track, but it’s so true especially  in this case. As I say countless of times love is colourless  we society just complicate things with unjust hatred. The wedding of a Pakistani and Yoruba woman will hopefully melt your hearts and show   inter-marriage ain’t a scary thing and should

I’m a fan of the late Dame Barbara Windsor, but my appreciation for her has shot up more since I heard she payed of her EastEnders co-star Cheryl Fergison mortgage while she was battling  womb cancer as she was struggling to pay the bills.  It takes a special person to be able to take  burden

Anyone who knows about  wrestling knows it takes literally years before you can achieve a  career talk less of ‘main event status’.Some spend years literally clawing their way to the top, and still never make it, so I was beyond impressed that a  woman called Jade Cargill graduated with a social science degree and became

I always stressed that the US never drop  the ball when it comes to developing talent especially bands. But let’s say everyone can have a off season.I never understood for the life of me why they the producers of the hit show” STAR” didn’t develop this TV band and  make them a real band. They already had

I know its a common practice to say don’t break a leg in theatre .But why are so many  people truly ready to literally not figuratively do  that to Francesca Amewudah-Rivers.I’m shocked at reading the level of abuse that she has received since taking part as the female lead in West End Romeo and Juliet.I

In  a world full of so much hate.I love coming across stories and people like this no matter how old it is ,as I tirelessly stress love has no colour, and sometimes children can be the best teachers.Children are innocent they don’t know hate  it’s when they get corrupted that’s when society pays heavily for

I’m truly happy that Prince Harry is raising an  important  issue while on his travels  with Meghan in Nigeria. Mental Health. I don’t think that  quality is appreciated about Prince Harry enough  in the media . The ability to relate to all kinds of people and open up in ways most men talk less of

Why doesn’t Eternal truly mean forever, and why doesn’t more music from bands  like this still exist in the music industry. I mean not this modern music were weak vocals have to be compensated with theatrics. I mean  just smooth R&B that really relaxes and speaks to your soul. Eternal  were a British  band full of

This case truly make me sick. I hope his family go through the proper channels and he can get justice. But no  amount of money can compensate another wasted black life. I’m happy incidents  like this is rare in the UK. But always wonder if African-Americans aren’t safe in the street from police harassment ,you

In a time where immigrants are not a favourite flavour  for some people. People should know they can add to a country  in positive ways, and this is  a couple that add flavour to New York. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qgClQ2QNHV4https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alzrS3St2AM I think most people in the world could relate to this especially in Britain with the financial crisis. Only Two and A Half Men could make financial mismanagement comedy gold. Just sad to know the accountant played  by Richard Lewis is dead he truly epitomised dry humour. But with every joke there is truth

Why I have always been a fan of Rhea Ripley is the fact that she is the girl that shouldn’t have made it in male dominated  industry but still defied the odds. She’s Australian  and literally clawed her way through countless  independent companies till she reached the top being WWE. I truly respect any woman

I always wondered could there be another Taylor Swift. A person that  can turn heartbreak  into art. Essentially being one of the best music storytellers in a generation. And I think I’ve found a  new  student of that special craft. Avery Anna is a 20 year old musician, and since I heard this I’m hooked.  I

So sad to see a beautiful black woman with so much hatred for her race and ultimately herself. I truly wish I could hug her  as I’m looking beyond the words. This is a woman that has so much self hate and definitely needs love. I think most people could understand in some aspect in

A beautiful white man who can sing the blues. Perfect remedy for a Friday night. Music that brings all communities together truly is music to my ears. It truly is criminal that he is so underrated.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRsLikp8ME8

Gia Carangi was one of the first supermodels in the world and wow was she a beauty, but sadly that beauty didn’t spill into her real life frankly she had an ugly existence which eventually consumed her.Gia was discovered at a young age and her career skyrocketed soon after she practically lived on the front

Nigerians are known for the parties and hosting, but they have exceeded all expectations with the way they received the Duke And Duchess of Sussex. It truly is like a homecoming for Meghan who is 43% Nigerian ,and I feel like Nigeria has adopted Prince Harry too. I’m happy they are being smothered with love, as nobody

I truly felt ashamed for Vivek Ramaswamy what position is worth your dignity.A guest you invited on your own show says I agree with your politics, but I could never vote for you because your an Indian. Why didn’t you stick up for yourself and your race.Whether I agree with his politics, as long as your

Patties to me are the perfect answer for a  nagging belly. They  are so underappreciated and don’t get the love it deserves. Personally you cant go wrong with a good beef or chicken one. It’ a universal snack  that can appease most people. Take for example the African community it’s  like a flat meat pie

The Met Gala is the place where you just have to slay it with the fashion if  not you  definitely shouldn’t  expect a invite next year. So the celebrities always embrace the mantra the wackier the better ,but this year theme ‘ Garden of Time ‘just proved the outrageousness was  revved up a  gear . Take

Do you remember when politics drama was acted out on a stage like Sunday live big questions in a mediated and most importantly safe environment. How has times changed that politic disputes has now become like a badly made western tv series where the politicians are the target of the violence and are then begging to

I truly found the Aaron Carter documentary insightful and essentially explanatory.Imagine being a young man who essentially is the breadwinner and responsible for grown adults livelihoods. That pressure is enough to make anyone crack talk less a child. I remember the days of getting up for school was a task for me, I couldn’t imagine being

Wow what has London been reduced to when leaving your house  is a  task in itself the real mission is avoid getting stabbed or shot. Now the senseless violence has claimed another innocent victim a child. In fact a  nigerian child named Daniel Anjorin. The killer Marcus Aurelio Arduini Monzo, 36, from Newham cold bloodedly executed him in a

Apparently due to the latest saga of the cost of living crisis it’s been reported that people are now desperate not to be invited to weddings due to their fear of expense. As lets face it going to any wedding your deffo going to spend. You may assume maybe it’s just singletons jealous of being in a  room

I am so proud to announce a Nigerian has become head of British Vogue. The woman is Chioma Nnadi. And with backing from the legendary Anna Wintour.I feel we should expect big things from this one.I’ve always expressed their is elitism in fashion and the publishing industry. And it tends to be a niche market that it caters

Could you camp in the woods?I don’t think you will once you hear about this case.Doug and Rozina Anderson a young married couple went to the woods in the late 80s in California to camp to celebrate his wife’s birthday. But they couldn’t have imagined that that would be their first mistake. When they were fishing during

Watch if not squeamish. What I appreciate, and is a rare novelty these days celebrities willing to use their platform to help others and change their lives in meaningful ways.Justin Baldoni is one of those individuals he’s moved from the days of Jane The Virgin (man I love that show)To produce and host a  thought-provoking documentary

I was glossing over the news today this morning as I usually do with a juicy cheese sarnie, and I  was proud to read  a young girl named Daisy Blakemore-Creedon, 18, was elected to Peterborough City Council after defeating  the sitting Tory councillor Andy Coles in the Fletton & Woodston ward.I was happy but then admittedly  I

I truly now believe that the pandemic has  devastated the high streets from my own personal experience. There’s  my local bakery in London that use to be a hangout for my friends before our law lectures in sixth form. When I went  recently the shelves were bare. Even the cheese baguettes that use to be

Not all money is good money and this definitely applies to this story.A kind-hearted US school diner lady  was always tired of seeing poor students in the cafeteria eat just stale sandwiches,  and beg for more food as their stomachs aren’t satisfied.Who would be full with a lunch like that .Then she started sneaking them

The story that I think will melt your hearts is a 82 year old man who checked on  his  new neighbours moving in ,and then became lifelong friends. Well I bet your thinking what makes this story special .The old man is white and the family are African American.A simple act of curiosity sparked a

I’ve  always been a  realist in life, and always feel its right to state the truth instead of the perceived truth. The truth to me and I think a lot of people is Covid is here to  stay and in polluted cities like  London there is  still a  outbreak. What makes me happy in some blogs and

Recently  I went to a hot dog stand with my good friend Sophie. (I think that’s what secretly bonds us our love of hot dogs) When she ordered her one first . I was shocked with what I witnessed before  my eyes. Sophie ordered a beef hotdog  with plenty of onions and mustard. The woman

Greg Fergus has recently become the first  black speaker in Canadian Parliament. In these tough times it’s good to have news like this. Imagine Canada has had a black speaker before Britain. Times are really changing and hopefully  for the better. What chills me out Greg doesn’t know the doors he’s going to open for

Ravi Adelekan  has won the  Child of Courage award in this year’s Pride of Britain Awards. He’s an 8 year old boy whose  battled brain cancer which has paralyzed one half of his adorable face. In honor of Black History Month. I will tell my own experience in regards to discrimination, and how I think we can get closure and make more progress. I remember when me and may mates   was finishing high school year or college ,and we had an online job portal which allowed us to apply for

I’m so proud of Nigeria  on their  63rd independence day especially with the new President Tinubu ,and hope the citizens and all in the diaspora celebrated it ,and honoured the historic date in some shape or form. But I have to admit I wasn’t too  much in the party mood, and don’t think I’m  the

Do you know there’s some music that  when you listen too ,you can’t get it  out of your head. Not always because of the flow. Mostly because the lyrics truly  touch you. I think everyone has a song that always leaves you reaching out for the Kleenex. One of my old favorites is ‘’life is

I will be the first person to admit I don’t know the first thing about football off-side rule or on-side rule. It’s all gibberish to me. So I bet you can guess why would I watch a football docu-series about aspiring footballers. Wouldn’t it not bore me to death? I can admit now I have

Football is a universal game. But also  sadly abuse is universal it doesn’t discriminate who or where it takes place. And in Dele Alli’s case it definitely proves that theory. I was so impressed and in disbelief. When I watched the Dele interview with Gary Neville. It was just unbearable to believe a fine young

Wow what an inauguration day. I’m so proud as especially  as a Yoruba woman that Pres Bola Tinubu was sworn in as president without any major hiccups. The celebration in London was epic. It truly was a buzzing afternoon the love the diaspora have for President Tinubu truly filled the room, and the food was

I’m so proud of my mum. She is starting her training to be a magistrate. I’m now more looking forward to getting elder, as your never too late or old to aspire to achieve more. She is one of  the few black people in her training. Which I find so mystifying and disturbing. But when

Seriously I think there just making it hard to be a driver. Apparently soon pay and display machines will be axed on most city streets. The initiative is done to make people use apps instead. I think personally this is a bad idea.  I  know we’re living in a digitalized world. Isn’t it not presumptuous

To me the best time for R&b music was the 1990s and early 2000’s. Smooth, silky  vocals. I feel the band Flo take us on that long-awaited time machine back to that era. They are  a trio who have won a rising star award in Brit Awards. And the good news all the previous recipients have

You got to hand it to Britain. Despite being cash-strapped as a nation. We still managed this year’s Comic Relief to raise an astonishing £32 million. I know the news can be  cold and doom and gloom these days. But this story truly warms my heart. And also Dawn French who to me is a

Mums are treasures. They are priceless. And hard to be replaced. It may sound corny, but the statement is true and should be ringing in all peoples’ ears today. But I think personally it’s criminal to just cherish your mum for one day. You should do that every day. But what I think we easily

Recently I went out for steak and  mash with   apple pie for dessert. I had high hopes, as it was a cool-looking restaurant. When I was expecting succulent steak dripping with jus. And a flaky apple pie with the cinnamon sugar dusted on top. Sadly the fantasy was different from the reality. The steak was

If they say that modern youth are  complacent and not hungry to succeed. The critics should eat up this  story that Finley Hutchings has become Britain’s youngest shopkeeper at age 16 running a country  clothing store. It’s very refreshing to see a young adult making headlines for the right reasons. I honestly don’t think I

Apparently there is a Swiss town Albinen   that is offering  families £50,000 to come and set up residence. Why they are desperate for people is  probably  due to a declining population since 2020 they reportedly had 238 people living in the small village. The lack of jobs probably  led to the exodus. But as they

If someone broke your heart in high school. And later came into your life. You’d probably hurl insults, and then accept the overdue chocolates and flowers. If someone said your fat  in jest, and then apologized. You’d probably accept the apology ,but still check the mirror to see if there’s any resemblance of truth. How

Have you ever heard of a guilty verdict, and it still felt like a not-guilty verdict? That definitely applies to this case I’m about to tell you. Due to the recent coverage  about the   surge of crimes in the London Underground. I feel compelled to say my own experience about using the underground. Recently there was an act of kindness that  happened towards me that truly touched me. I was at my local supermarket in London  this past  Saturday getting ready to stock up for the week. I was trying to get a trolley( since pandemic they’ve made it so hard to free from it’s case) When I

In honor of international women’s day. I will not like to follow the usual cliché of acknowledging notable names. I will like to start my own trend and pay homage to an unsung hero who recently died during the pandemic. Maurine was one of the deaths that really got to me, and made me question

The result   most people in diaspora were praying for has come. The result that Bola Tinubu has become victorious in the 2023 Nigeria General Election. I think outsiders in politics  mostly underate  the human effort it takes to complete an election race. Speaking from my own personal experience in the world of politics  not everyone

I don’t know where this gem was hiding from me on the tv guide. I’ve just recently come across old episodes of  Africa’s  Next Top Model. I was so happy to come across a show that celebrates all different skin tones, accents, cultures of Africa in one competition. Personally it’s so fulfilling to see true

I’ve been receiving some requests from readers about African recipes. I will say im  not a Gordon Ramsay, but I do know my way around a kitchen. Let’s just say the pandemic gave me a lot of opportunity to practice my cooking skills, and the best process as always was the testing. What can I say

Review of The Real Housewives of Abuja. I definitely had to watch the northern version. As I wanted to see did it live up to the hype, and I have mixed feelings, but don’t get me wrong it was still great for a premiere episode. Here’s my opinions of some of the housewives. I got

Woww Rihanna truly did live up to the hype. I’m so proud I stayed up to watch the Superbowl. Everyone who knows Superbowl knows it’s the halftime show most people want to see. I  felt so maternal strangely even though she’s older than me. I feel almost like I grew up with her. I can

A scene which is sadly not strange these days is the US police killing another unarmed black person. That sadly is the norm is this modern climate. But what is not  normal seeing a group of  rogue black  officers killing a unarmed black man. That was the the case of Tyre Nichols. A man who

The Turkey/Syria  earthquake  really is a crisis. It truly makes me sad for the people, as if they are starring in a disaster movie, and they are the unwilling actors. I truly pray more can be done  to assist the displaced people. The scenes that will stick to me are the children being taken out

Thank you it’s about time. I always  recoil in horror anytime  I’ve researched the Emmett Till   I always end up feeling a like a historian. And wishing that his story was fiction, but sadly it’s a sad reality that’s part of to some people ‘’unheard history’’. I know most people would love to have it  wiped

Tinubu is the man I personally label, and believe others can attest to is the architect of Lagos and APC party. So I can personally believe he can be trusted with rebuilding the whole of Nigeria. If you don’t believe me the evidence speaks for itself Lagos is now a cosmopolitan rival to major cities

Well what a year. It’s had it’s up and downs, as everyone can agree. But  the one thing we can all be blessed with is the fact that we reached the end of the year. As not everyone was lucky to achieve that. It makes me remember a conversation between me and my friends in

When it comes to sports. I think I can hold my own when it comes to general knowledge and participation. But when it comes to my old nemesis football. Let’s just say I was last in queue when God installed ‘’soccer magic’’. But despite my novice in this area. I always knew the name ‘’Pele’’.

What a sad life. Pele  and Dame  Vivienne Westwood both icons in their respective industries died within 24 hours. What a sad way to end 2022. The only time I remember an incident like this was when the ‘King Of Pop’ Michael Jackson and ‘Charlie’s Angel’ Farah Fawcett died around the same day. Unlike Football.

Hakeem Jeffries has just been elected to succeed Nancy Pelosi as house leader. Not forgetting first black person in history to have the role. Wow what a way to end 2022. I truly am proud to see a fine representation of a black man especially in these tough  modern times. A devoted family man, and

I’m always proud to be of nigerian descent. But this week I’m especially proud. When I heard The US Army has recently promoted a woman of Nigerian descent Amanda Azubuike from Lieutenant Colonel to Brigadier General. Her promotion was bestowed on her in a prestigious ceremony held at  Fort Knox, Kentucky, USA. To me, it

Jessikah Inaba, 23 truly  resignates the  ‘’never give up attitude’’. That we us parents hope to install in our children who at times (rightly so) can think life is unfair to them. Jess has now joined the bar and essentially become Britain’s first blind black barrister. She got through her intense law course in the

Please explain to me this. Why do you bad fathers check out of your children’s lives? Like your checking out of a grocery aisle. Why do you bad fathers always play the song that. ‘’You don’t know what’s going on in my life”. ‘’I never had my own father’’. So Einstein  why do you choose

The  current story that really  is injustice at it’s highest form. Is about a man who was  just found innocent after spending 38 years in prison. I know I’m not joking over 3 decades of your life wasted in the joint on faked-up charges. Let me bring you up to speed for those not informed

Family is something I’m so happy and grateful that I have. My mum’s immediate family and extended in Nigeria are the best. Anytime they take the time to  get in touch I always feel that sense of belong and unity ,and I truly treasure it, as to me as family is priceless. But I’m sad

The actor Brendan Fraser had a huge effect on my pre-teen to teen years. Through The Mummy franchise it encouraged my fascination for the Egyptian culture from  the pyramids to the food to the  make-up (to me they created the eye-liner trend and slayed it) I too along with his legion of fans wandered. Where

Since youth I’ve always liked viewing forensic detective shows. (Blame the tv guide) And I’m happy that I have the ability after a gripping case to switch off. But the case that I watched recently that  still gives me the creeps, and makes me take my personal security more safety.  Is a show  called ‘The Prosecutors

I have to admit London has a epidemic with  disturbing behaviour scenes that are mirrored throughout other areas in the  UK. Near a station nearby a woman was followed into the station and raped in a  empty carriage in London ,and I remember recently on a  packed train to central London with a mate a

The only beautiful thing about the beloved Queen’s death is it actually humanized her more. When we think Queen Elizabeth we think about lavish dresses and a beautiful array of bespoke jewelry. But actually, we got to hear all the array of stories from people across the world  who were privilege to meet her ,you

Wow what can I say news we were kind of expecting, but dreaded the day it would eventually happen. In a time of constant change and constant divide she The Queen was the constant figure that was neutral, and was a calming presence for the nation. She literally was the face of the nation. I

I always say mums are like lionesses. They would do anything to protect their cubs. That dully applies in the case of Archie Battersbee. His  mum Hollie Dance truly went to battle for him trying to keep him alive, and despite the outcome, she won the hearts of the nation, and made most mothers re-affirm

Everytime I  see the video my stomach churns more and more. I always feel at times the ethnics  are made to feel silenced in regards to our views  of our uncomfortable experiences in some parts of Europe. I feel we get dismissed at times. All I can say is the ignorant people at least have

There’s a common misconception that people who are long-time unemployed are  either  idle couch potatoes. But they never realize the hidden meaning behind non—interest in ‘work’. When you apply for a job it’s like an open invitation to get the crap knocked out of you, and not everyone has the stomach for rejection. What people

Chris Benoit is a tale that the wrestling community especially WWE wish to  be part of forgotten history. But to me, the story should serve as a cautionary tale  of living over the edge and beyond suspicion. I believe it should be brought more to light his situation. Don’t get wrong there’s no way I

I always felt secretly miffed that my parents never let me do sleepovers when I was younger. (Well I had one, but was picked up before midnight, so that doesn’t technically  count) But when I read and watched the true-life case of Polly klaas. I now know it was a blessing in disguise my parents’

I think we can all agree Britain virtually roasted in the heatwave. It felt like we were guinea pigs being trialed by the universe because we don’t take climate change seriously. We will soon rather than later be smoked to death was the message I got from the weather. All I can say is enough

The worst fear for most people is to vanish from the face of the earth, and nobody bat an eyelid. That sadly was the frank reality for Sheila Seleoane. Due to the pandemic, a lot of  things and people were swept under the carpet. Sheila Seleoane a medical secretary lay dead in her Peckham flat

Be honest if you see a person sitting on their own in a café. Would you leave the comfort of your seat and  extend the hand of friendship ,and invite that person  to join your table. If I’m honest I’d assess the situation, and at times psych myself that maybe the person would be offended

I have a friend I’m not gonna name but she knows who she is. If she’s reading this article. I really respect her,and never had the pleasure of expressing it to her and giving credit when it’s due. But there’s no time better than the present. When we were in school she became a young

My personal mantras that I swear by for a meaningful existence. 1.Love yourself before you hate yourself to death. 2.Convert vanity to productivity. 3.Join a social club of people with similar interests. 4.Eat home comforts in edited ways. 5.Shake yourself in your bedroom. 6.Lazy energy is the enemy of progress. 7.Be informed about what’s happening

That’s the philosophy I standby and live by ( despite my cheeky love for puff puff which anytime I have one I  swear is the last, but  I can endeavor a record 4 puff puff in one sitting, fellow Nigerians what’s your puff puff  limit lol ) Back to the conversation that’s why you may

Is one of my new Youtube channel binges. Do you know when you find something you think you won’t like, but it then becomes a new prized possession. That how Rate My Takeaway’s videos mean to me. Why I find it authentic is that it does not have the crazy theatrics you’d spot in a

Anyone who knows me knows that I’m a real housewife fan since it’s conception. My particular favourites out of the franchise are the New York and  Atlanta versions. I think it’s most people’s guilty tv pleasure. Seeing how the other half live. A life we all aspire for. Now finally about time.  The successful franchise

When you go to Peckham it’s like going to your local hairdressers. You get to hear all the goss.  Whose opening a new suya restaurant, When is Simi performing live, whose offspring is graduating, and whose sleeping with whose husband (tut tut.) So when word was announced that immigration were coming to take someone into

Imagine seeing a elderly woman in decent attire talking to the vegetables in the supermarket ,and talking to your mum by the bread section, as if their familiar while they are actually complete strangers. Leaving your mum with water in their eyes. Then a old man sitting in the local bus scouting for potential conversation

At times we feel we tend to know heroes. From comic books to portrayal of Superman  and Batman. But sadly the injustice is that society doesn’t have time or space to highlight all the true ‘’heroes’’, and at times those heroes don’t want the publicity for their deeds themselves. So technical terms for these heroes

If I’m writing this. The deed is already done the nuptials of Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker, and all I can say about time rightly so a fitting climax to a beautiful love story. And what better place than the romantic picturesque country of Italy to do it. Why I’m so happy I personally championed

I always dreaded the day I would have to announce that Tom Parker is dead. I can remember the moment as if it was just yesterday.  I was just logging on to my computer, then the news was all over my homepage , and it really knocked me down like a ton of bricks. Even

But not in this case ,because I always wonder from time to time  how Chuka is coping since his exit from British politics, and the prosperous political career that sadly eluded him due to varying factors. I really feel sad writing this, but also happy at the same time ,as I feel  I’m highlighting a

I always say practice what you preach, even when behind closed doors. Why I say that in the spirit of international women’s day. I want to talk about my own personal experience, and encounters with fellow women , so therefore  this post  will explain partly the reasons behind my short-lived political career. What I  noticed

I’m a firm believer of “what you study doesn’t mean, what you have to embody”. Life is very up and down, and I think you should be prepared for the unexpected. They say if “one door closes another door opens”. I know sounds cliché, but this woman I came across online is living proof of
