Another Legend Gone

What  a  sad way to end the year the death of a american legend Pres Jimmy Carter who died at 100 years old.

The son of cotton farmers and a former navy man displayed such fortitude and strength to reach the milestone this year.

What I will remember of him  is he proved you don’t  have to be in politics to still make effective change in people’s lives.

He created the  Jimmy Carter Foundation after losing the presidential election and helped enhanced lives of disadvantaged people  worldwide through housing education, and proved there  is life after politics.

There was never a ounce of bitterness he got more into faith and was a pastor who lived his life by the bible.

They say behind every great man is a greater woman his  was the late Rosalynn Smith.

Their fairytale romance  stood the test of time and lasted 77 years which is astounding in this modern climate.

Some people divorce nowadays  just for looking at the spouse the wrong way.

When she died I believe he died too ,but hung on for his family, and when I knew true love does still exist he was wheeled to the funeral of his wife  while in hospice.

The man was a warrior.

The speech that moved me in his wife’s funeral was one of their  son who battled addiction problem  he said his  parents never abandoned him they never were ashamed of him and got him help.

A person who puts family before politics is a real testament to his faith and the human being we the world has sadly lost and should strive to be.

Jimmy Carter is no longer in pain  anymore and is reunited with his wife in the gates of heaven and I hope we can all take from his character  that being kind doesn’t cost anything.

Leave the  world they way you will want your kids to find it, and I know the younger generation will take inspiration from Jimmy Carter’s  legacy and continue his work.

RIP PRES JIMMY CARTER
