Always wonder why Clare Maguire never had the same level of success of Adele.
She had the looks the voice the poise and her vintage inspired hairdos were always on point.
I remember being in my parent’s car and when driving hearing ‘last dance’ on the radio it truly was mesmerizing and to me she inspired the likes of Lana Del Rey.
I would have wished she had music global domination, and also Michelle Mcmanus a Scottish chick who even won a talent competition Pop Idol in 2003 ,and still never set the charts alight.
I feel personally because of her size she got blacklisted, but what drew people to her was her humility and that an everyday girl could live her dream.
But again key word ‘ordinary’ was she too much of a plain jane to be a global superstar despite having the voice.
These two cases proves just because you have the goods doesn’t mean you will get buyers.
And also increases my suspicions that why have we never had a real Scottish or Irish pop superstar when they have so many powerhouses on offer.
