As If It Was Yesterday

In times of people being more cold hearted than good hearted,

I want to pay tribute to a act a stranger did to me years ago.
Years ago i made the rubbish decision to go to a  hair appointment empty stomached except for a 2 pieces of ritz crackers.

Thinking a quick straightening and highlight will be quick but that day the salon was busier than bees at a beehive and my bum was getting sore from waiting.
When it was finally my turn.
My stomach bulges were almost deafening but i couldn’t risk being seen like a cast member from dinner ladies going to nearby cafe and grabbing a cheese butty in front of  traffic.
I wasnt brave for that ordeal.
Then when it seemed all hope was lost  a  elderly Jamaican woman threw in my lap 2 beef patties and 1 festival.
I wanted to get almost on my knees to thank her as i was shocked by this unexpected kind act and by the time i realised she was gone.
My hairdresser said your a lucky girl and maybe she knew from my complaining i was really hungry what shocked me is that she didn’t want praise or payment she left straight away.I truly believe she looked at me as a grandchild and i always think of her from time to time.
Some people come it to your life and then leave your life but teach you a valuable lesson.
And anytime i see someone in genuine need i will help them in anyway i can,
A small act can mean a big thing for someone out there. What does it cost to be kind.

Spread the love
