Modern Grinch

I hate the hypocrisy a day before Christmas a Jamaican restaurant I often frequent with family and friends did a kind gesture.
They handed out free portion of banana cake and  tropical juices and celebration chocolates to all devoted customers.
I wont lie most people overfilled their pockets with the heavenly slices of the cake ,but I stuck to one as i didn’t want to ruin my waistline which is easy to do this holiday season.
After ordering my food I truly was touched and felt a bit of the Christmas cheer as they dint have to do that, as most restaurants are hanging on to their stock in this hard financial times not giving them away, but my mood instantly evaporated when I went to another restaurant 2 streets away..
They barely raised a smile and gave me and my friends food with annoyance and after giving change just said ‘next customer’.
What i can’t stand is hypocrisy this restaurant was featured on a cooking show, and said they appreciate their customers and handle them with care.
Isn’t Christmas the time you shouldn’t broadcast that love more, and the other irony they are Christians.
What I will say customers that patronise you all year round there should be a day especially festivities when you show them appreciation as customers are like black cab they are very scarce and when you get them you should should be grateful.
What i will say restaurant owners always treat your customers like family not a distant relative.
As trust me customers notice everything!!!

Spread the love
