Just another pr Stunt

What is dominating the news is always about overcrowding and lack of housing.

But the real issue to me should be the quality of social housing it really leaves a lot to be desired especially in areas like north west  London.

There’s some houses that even rats will discriminate its like mould is the wallpaper for the whole house and there is no ventilation or modern compliances to ensure safety of the tenants.

Awaab’s Law was created due to the senseless death of a young boy due to essentially negligence as he was allowed to live in a  house with mould and damp.

But honestly since that law was created have all all councils and social landlords stuck to  the requirements for decent human living.

I think not to me it’s  lip service most councils  neglect their council homes  and most tenants are foreigners or vulnerable  so treated inferiorly and are  scared to contact their  council for their  basic rights due to fear of retaliation from the council e.g  loss of tenancy , increased rent.

I feel that is sad people are  feeling blackmailed by their  councils to live in shocking  life threating conditions while still paying rent.

And what shocks me its not a national emergency and there’s no inspection on rogue landlords that don’t stick to legal standards and demonstrate utmost lack of professionalism in dealing with vulnerable tenants.

Tenant should sue for disrepair and create more unions to hold landlords to account and their should be more accountability as definitely more people will die.

I believe their  should be sanctions on corrupt councils, sackings and more investigations we don’t want anther Grenfell tower tragedy on our conscience neglect is the number1 killer.

And people shouldn’t be punished because they are poor.

Everyone  should take pride in where they live.

They say a English man house is their castle what happens if their house is a makeshift grave.

Labour Government have to do more not just pr pieces of laws for show  social tenants deserve so much more in Britain
