The Met Gala is the place where you just have to slay it with the fashion if not you definitely shouldn’t expect a invite next year.
So the celebrities always embrace the mantra the wackier the better ,but this year theme ‘ Garden of Time ‘just proved the outrageousness was revved up a gear .
Take for example the upcoming south african starlet Tyla.
Even with her statuesque figure she struggled to walk in that iconic sand dress and had to be lifted in the red carpet.
The incident gave me ”Madonna Material Girl Vibes”.
Then when it got too much she got the dress slashed into a mini dress which I thought was utter genius.
Now I have inspo for if I go to Brighton and tired of my long sundress.
I have options, its just if I can pull of the ripped look is the question.
And another fave of mine Kim Kardashian she wore a dress which truly was out of this world ,it was as if her rib cage disappeared before our very eyes.
I could never pull that off, and when I heard rumours she struggled to breathe.
I wasn’t surprised and truly felt for her.
I know people suffer for their art but this year was taking it too far.
But I truly respect all the stars that debuted their controversial looks at the Met Gala with forced ease ,because trust me I don’t think I would have lasted 2 minutes talk less of a whole evening in some of those garments.
I remember when I went to cinema with my friends I was strutting like a peacock as my heels were a nightmare to walk in.
I had to have a ice bath for my for traumatised feet , when I got home and from that day on I found and married the best saviour for foot fabulousness/comfortability.
The wedges, and I’ve never looked back since.
If Met Gala have a theme next year of’ relaxed chic’ I can bet a lot celebs will breathe a sigh of relief literally.
