I truly hope this is a joke that a political party wants to withhold people’s benefits to force them to work.
If so that is borderline cruel.
I know there’s a lot of people abusing the benefit system especially since the pandemic ,but this is not the way to solve the crisis.
By targeting people that are genuinely unable to work.
To me this will send a dangerous precedent if it comes to fruition.
Its literally targeting the most vulnerable in society and blacklisting them from help which benefits provides.
There are genuinely people who cant work due to no fault of their own,
If you force vulnerable people to work they could be a rise in crime and also their colleagues could be at risk .
I don’t buy the myth that there are so many jobs out there ,if you check online companies are going bust everyday ,and there are still people working from home.
I believe people that brag about jobs being out there are usually are in a cushy job which they didn’t have to break a swat to get.
Great Britain has always prided themselves of looking after the vulnerable.
If we start practicing these ruthless attitudes we truly will lose our country’s spirit.
We do have to get a active work force but not literally by brutal force.
Nothing gets achieved when your under duress.
