All parents watch this tv drama Grange hill compilation it will give you insight into the silent epidemic affecting school kids worldwide ‘bullying’.
A lot of youths and are suffering like the victims in this tv drama.
Schools I find are not still adequately tackling bullying crisis, and its resulting in the sever mental health crisis and alarming rate we have in Britain.
I remember when I was young my hair was pulled by a fellow student in full view of a scared teacher.
I never told my parents in time due to shame of being the new class victim. When I did I got closure .I remember in school you would be afraid to wear the wrong shoes or if you spoke too posh you were regarded as an oreo.
I remember even getting a new hairstyle you would have to get seal of approval of the class bullies.
The thing is when you watch the drama it’s based on real life and still is relevant and shows schools are not tackling the issue and believe in my opinion ignorance is bliss if we don’t address the problem there is no problem and victims too are scared to speak up and feel a sense of shame.
What I will say all parents have to be more involved not invade their children’s space, but get to know there environment to see changes of behaviour.
And have a balance authoritarian and friend.
If your too tough the abuse they experience at school then toughness at home they will close up and feel like they have no-one to open up to.
I would say its a balance.
Schools to me should lose funding to me if they are found guilty of coverup or being too lenient to bullies.
Which many are.
I would encourage victims be brave inform a trusted adult and don’t suffer in silence.
Its just chilling how this drama was filmed many years ago but it still feels fresh as it truly is still happening. I like shows that educate not just entertain.
Schools prepare us for life .
They shouldn’t be the place that makes you give up on life.
