A Tragic End

I always say listen to your parents when they voice concerns especially about people maybe if the beautiful late star Selena Quintanilla did she would have been with us today.
Selena was a young tejano  star who rose  from obscurity due to her energetic performances and determination to take her family away from  poverty.
Due to her booming fame, the budding fashion entrepreneur she ventured into the world of fashion boutiques and because of all the  hysteria she rightly so had so many fans who wanted to communicate with their idol.Which was overwhelming. That’s where Yolanda Saldivar a nurse/fan saw a opportunity to infiltrate her inner circle.

By saying she wished to run her fan club.
Her dad had a nagging suspicion this was too good to be true and didn’t like her eagerness ,so told his popstar daughter not to hire her.
But Selena being Selena didn’t want to disappoint a fan and was impressed by her nursing background so told her father no she will give her a chance.

That was her first mistake she never knew Yolanda was a a very disturbed woman with a obsessive personality which didn’t go unnoticed by her staff and friends .

One designer  even went to her house and saw a room dedicated to Selena which he instantly felt was creepy.
The final strike was when it came to the attention of Selena’s team that Yolanda was defrauding her fans, which led to her sacking.
Suddenly later Yolanda phoned Selena to say she was raped.
Selena being a kind soul drove her to the hospital which they found no evidence of assault which alarmed Selena.
When they went to a motel,Selena finally knew this was all a twisted game which she didn’t want to play anymore, but by that time it was too late.
As she ran for her life she was blasted to death, and then her killer feigned suicide in a stand-off with police.
But just like a  prosperous life snuffed  at the young age of 23 leaving a legion of her fans devastated.
I feel her trusting nature is what played a part in her downfall, and it’s not empathised enough how nowadays artist managements vet any person who want to work in close proximity to a star.
I find people don’t always acknowledge how talented she was.
A young woman who was bi-lingual, fashionable ,genuine and business savvy and was just on the road to international stardom with her first English speaking album.
She even inspired Selena Gomez name.
Maybe she would have been big like Madonna and Gloria Estefan.
Because of Yolanda we will never know.

But what I will say always trust your gut instincts ,and once you’ve sacked someone never go to meet the person on your own in any given circumstances  it could be a trap, and always keep people up to date with your movements.
We live in a scary world with sadly some scary people.

Spread the love
