Where Is Safe?

Nowhere is safe this sentiment definitely applies to this case.
Cassie Hansen a 6 year old girl  who went to church with her family and innocently asked to go the toilet, and her mum let her go on her own.
And when the mum went to check on her 10 mins later she realised she was missing.
Facing every parent’s worst nightmare she phoned authorities.
It then turned out a taxi cab man who was driving decided to go for a loo break ,and then parked by the church and that exact moment he bumped into Melissa.
He charmed her with his grandad exterior, and then lured her with promise of games, and then when the girl sensed  something was wrong it was too late.
He bundled her in the car, raped her and threw her away  like trash in a nearby bin.
The only reason why the case was solved was someone in the church remembered seeing a elderly man chatting to the girl by the toilets, and the man stupidly or arrogantly confessed to a masseuse of his wicked deed.
I found this case disturbing as seconds do count in regards to child abductions.
And abduction we think of them happening mostly outside.
Abduction can happen anywhere even church or mosques anywhere.
And we need to teach again children not to talk to strangers as appearance can be deceiving.
Street smarts usually is invaluable.
Even me as a adult now I always try to stay cautious of anywhere I am when out ,especially now in the violent prone streets of London.
Parents should be training their children no matter the appearance don’t talk to a stranger.
It’s a old saying but it ultimately does saves lives.
This case echoes a case I watched on Discovery Channel a while back about a 5 year old girl called Melissa Brannen who was with her mum at their apartment’s tenants Christmas party and within a split second she was lured from the party by a man posing as a guest , and she has never been found despite police finding a person of interest ,he has never till this day confessed what became of her.
I realised at times when were in familiar or presumed safe surroundings we tend to let our guard down ,but when your in charge of children you can’t afford to.
It’s so ironic in regards to the Cassie case that in a house of God a devil could still slip through.
