I as a fellow corrie fan were sad to hear Helen Worth resigned from her character as Gail Platt .
I don’t know if I can personally spend 50 years in the same job, but you must be at ease and love what your doing to stay on that long.
Her exit was fitting as it payed tribute to her love of relationships by leaving the cobbles with her 6th husband to start a life in France.
Due to her not being killed off I still have my fingers crossed for future guest appearances.
What I take from this icon she wasn’t just motherly on the screen even off she was a role model to the cast and the crew and she will be sorely missed and I don’t know personally if the show will ever be the same again. Her comic timing was always on point.
People are angry she left righty so but at the same time the actress deserves a break she has giving so much to the show over the years and deserves to have her me time.
Cramming lines isn’t easy for anyone.
I hope she enjoys her a well-deserved retirement, but I will miss her wild antics she was the ultimate ride or die mom.
