O Not Again!!

Wow what has London been reduced to when leaving your house  is a  task in itself the real mission is avoid getting stabbed or shot.
Now the senseless violence has claimed another innocent victim a child.
In fact a  nigerian child named Daniel Anjorin.
The killer Marcus Aurelio Arduini Monzo, 36, from Newham cold bloodedly executed him in a broad daylight in a senseless  rampage that has left the country stunned.
A boy who was just simply going to school.
What was the harm in that.
Wow how times have changed when I was a schoolgirl me and my friends after school will stroll while eating chips with burger sauce all over talking about the latest episode of Home and Away and blasting Fall Out Boy’s new album on our phones.
We never felt unsafe ,but now that time is just a fond distant memory.
Daniel was from a respectable academic family.
Who I truly offer my condolences to.
I just hope he does not end up being another name in the hundreds of people that have been murdered just this year.
All predominantly from Afro -Caribbean backgrounds.
I feel like enough this issue isn’t be hyped up enough.
Why I admire America it would have had a major press conference with all political leaders and label it a  major incident.
Or maybe the sad fact is black murders are not a priority.
To me London crime epidemic has been downplayed by the top and it’s the public that is really highlighting the story.
Its like the top have got accustomed to it, and and are not really being pushed to act effectively.
But the public rightly so want action.
How can we be living in fear.
Elderly people are afraid to sit in a bus, people are ordering Uber Eats as there afraid to be in a crowded restaurant.
Even if someone in my household goes out I’m counting the time for them to come back and relieved when the door opens.
Is this life.
And now people if you want to buy a cooking knife in a supermarket they make you feel like your in customs they screen you now and check your ID.
How has this once great capital come to this.
I truly believe there has to be sever penalties for people that commit acts like this.
What people should know poor Daniel was at the wrong place at the wrong time.
It could have been any one of us.
I now don’t blame in the parents who want their children to stay at home and do distance learning,as it worked for them since pandemic, and at least they will know their offspring is safe at home.
Also I advice people when your out in public try to avoid putting earphones/headphones or if so use on low volume as it’s best to stay alert. Are we now Londoners anytime we go out going to be fitted with bullet proof and stab proof vests just to be on the safe side.
Will lawless London  be our new normal?
