Woww Rihanna truly did live up to the hype.
I’m so proud I stayed up to watch the Superbowl.
Everyone who knows Superbowl knows it’s the halftime show most people want to see.
I felt so maternal strangely even though she’s older than me.
I feel almost like I grew up with her.
I can still remember the girl who made umbrella my high school anthem.
A woman who overcame abuse, poverty and self-doubt , but ultimately overcame all of that ,and got to ultimately live the American dream, and most importantly have her happy ending.
What I appreciate about her she is a game -changer(no pun intended).
She monetized her name and a built a lifestyle fashion brand.
She gave people of color that extra nudge you too can be a queen in your own sense.
Talent can be denied and suppressed regardless of color or gender.
What I found emotional is that she doesn’t know how inspiring she triuly is ,and she truly showcased black excellency at its finest.
The dance/air routines left me dizzy, and just made my respect for her shoot up more.
And I bet the google searches for ‘pregnant chic’ is on high demand.
I now know there’s no excuse to not enjoy exercise sessions if a pregnant woman can give the performance of her life.
Frankly we don’t have no excuse to be lazy.
Just for anyone who says can Black girls rock.
All I got to say is YES CAN!!!
