I’m so proud of Nigeria on their 63rd independence day especially with the new President Tinubu ,and hope the citizens and all in the diaspora celebrated it ,and honoured the historic date in some shape or form.
But I have to admit I wasn’t too much in the party mood, and don’t think I’m the only one who felt like that.
There’s a expression I strongly believe ‘’you can’t be happy when you see your children suffering.
I feel saddened when I have Nigerians emailing me through my blog telling me of their plights, and how death would be more peaceful than there reality ,as their suffering is too much.
They tell me that even eating garri is a luxury now ,as inflation has hit Nigeria hard and cost of living truly is a cost to their mental health.
I just want to let the Nigerians know your suffering isn’t falling on death ears.
I’m listening and I believe you too.
I watch nigerian TV every day when I’m on break, I see the reports of how poverty is effecting every generation, and even the tradespeople are struggling themselves even to feed.
I truly urge Nigerians to know they are not alone even in UK there’s inflation.
To the point there is a rise in middle -class shoplifters, as people can barely survive.
When would you think in Great Britain people would be stealing apples or pampers.
What have we resorted to?
As I’ve said in most articles the world has never been truly the same or recovered from the pandemic.
And all world leaders inherited the aftermath of the disaster which nearly all affected the economy
Nearly all countries are all in the same boat in regards to the economy.
All the Nigerian people want is to be provided with the life jackets to stay afloat and not sink into despair.
Please the President Tinubu administration truly do a grassroots inspection, and hear what is truly affecting your citizens.
As I respect President Tinubu I believe he is the man for the job for this heavy task.
There’s no quick fix but, I know he’ll be willing to start the repairs.
We can’t be expected to be in a party mood, when there feels like nothing to celebrate.
