Mums are treasures.
They are priceless.
And hard to be replaced.
It may sound corny, but the statement is true and should be ringing in all peoples’ ears today.
But I think personally it’s criminal to just cherish your mum for one day.
You should do that every day.
But what I think we easily forget on a day like Mother’s Day is the people out there that are not lucky to have a mum in their lives.
I remember my friend Rachel from high school.
She was a living contradiction.
She is the most jovial person you can ever meet.
Could give you the shirt of her back.
But beneath her bubbly exterior.
She always masked her pain about her deceased mum.
She said every Mother’s Day she always locks herself at home and stays in her bedroom waiting for the day to pass.
That always stuck with me, and made me stick to my mum like glue till this day.
I advise everyone give your mum a massive hug , give them that extra celebrations chocolate and treat them to a day of well-deserved pampering.
And also spare a thought on a day like today for people that are not so fortunate to have their own personal queens.
