Behind every great man is a great woman.
And in President Obama’s case it wasn’t only his lovely wife First Lady Michelle he had.
He had the doting mum Marian Robinson.
I truly am saddened to learn of her passing and to me she was a hidden treasure whose value wasn’t always appreciated by the media at time.
She took care of her husband till he died when he got disabled, and moulded Michelle to have the courage to go a ivy league school and the rest is history,and when he was on the campaign trail she helped with raising her grandchildren and eventually became roomies with the President.
To some that’s a nightmare living with your mother in law but the Obamas made it look so easy, and prove it could work especially when your parent is a widow.
Company is invaluable.
I will feel her loss and take the memories of her when she followed her daughter and son in law to Ghana and Kenya.
Personally speaking my mum is my best friend and I know no matter what age you are if lose a parent that pain is always unbearable.
To people everywhere Michelle was the first lady but to one woman she was someone’s little girl.
I truly offer my condolences to the Obamas.
