Britain truly has a lot of crises currently but there is one I think needs priority.
The DWP since they transferred the universal credit eg benefits to local councils in UK it has been a monopoly by some councils.
Some council pay certain races and claimants more money and less money and some people haven’t received a payment in years.
Some people have even been denied cost of living payments which are automatic and every household in the England is no matter their financial circumstances.
Labour government have failed to get a grip on this and are letting vulnerable being cheated out of payments while others being rewarded and are simply well off than people who are in employment.
Councils that are corrupt are sadly a lot in London they should be investigated and penalised.
Why would certain races be dominating a benefit office and are giving their preferred kind more money.
Isn’t that not discrimination and show the benefit system can be manipulated by corrupt departments.
The irony is some of these unscrupulous officers know they hold the cards and they enjoy playing with vulnerable peoples lives and being cowards they are they know if you phone for help even if they talk down to you like trash you cant do anything as your talking to a officer from the comfort of their home as again most civil servants are still working from home.
The benefit system is a joke and the government is not addressing it effectively and peoples lives are literally hanging in the balance.
I now know why DWP is being sued all the time and people are killing themselves.
Some of the staff have no class or etiquette at all they treat claimants like dirt on the bottom of their shoe and they like marching them,
Nobody deserves to be looked down especially by civil servants who are there to help the public not the opposite.
There are genuine people that need benefits and shouldn’t be punished as some people continue to make a mockery out of the benefits system the central government should take back ownership of the benefits and distribute the money in accordance to criteria and bands not give local councils the power that’s passing the buck.
