Hope Melton Case is a case I hope never happens again I watched ‘See No Evil Shadow Of Hope’.
I admittedly couldn’t sleep that night in time that’s how bad it was.
A 30 year old married school teacher spent Christmas with her family then decided to drive and visit her grandma but ,as she was 15 minutes away she frantically phoned her to say some car is following her on a lonely stretch of road, and she should phone police and help her .
Then the phone went dead.
Her mum and grandma got in a car immediately looked for her an then saw her abandoned car.
But as police vigilantly looked for her that festive day they ran through security footage in a gas station and can see when she was pumping gas a stranger was looking at her even when she paid for the gas.
And when she left the gas station chilling the CCTV showed the same man looking at get in his distinctive orange car and then pursued her car.
When the detective was resting on the road he coincidentally saw that same orange car and then after catching and interviewing the suspect he confessed to the murder and led the detectives to her body.
She was raped and brutally savaged by a baseball bat almost unrecognisable.
What makes this case heart-breaking it was a crime of opportunity he just say her by chance on the gas station and after that he was hooked.
Like a predator smelling blood.
And what will shock you the police saw through CCTV when he was in Walmart before the murder he didn’t buy anything or take a basket or trolley he was looking for potential victims he saw a blonde woman similar to Hope and when he was obsessed with following her in the aisles he quickly got put off, when he saw her with a man , and then abandoned his murderous plans.
That woman can never know how lucky she was.
What I advise woman don’t drive at night or on desolate roads.
And I don’t think you should ever drive on Christmas Day bad luck always follow.
And always keep people up to date with your movements and install a tracker on your phone.
When your in supermarket especially if your driving alone park by the supermarket closely and observe your surroundings, when your putting your goods in your car ,and always scream if someone wants to kidnap you it’s always better to be injured in a car park with witnesses than taking to another location.
It’s so devastating that an angel and devil crossed paths on Xmas and well done to the detectives who were persistent in solving the case that same day.
I always wish she never went to that gas station.
