Is It Really Christmas?

Where’s your Christmas spirit.
I went to Tesco and the young woman serving me was one of the best cashiers I ever met.
She was battling a cold while still dealing with all customers with a smile.
When it was my turn to scan products.
She just started talking to me and it was as if  I found my twin everything she said was how I felt and discussed with my other friends.
She said Tesco should have been playing some festive tunes it’s Christmas season and it doesn’t feel like Christmas this year more of a wake.
The high street is dead no-one can afford to buy decent presents  and nobody is doing  even window shopping.
And that she feels there’s stuff happening that the government is not letting us British public know because most people have phobia of leaving their houses.
She said that since COVID things have never been the same and people don’t have that same energy to enjoy the holiday season.

I truly agree by  this time years ago there would be free mince pies on display nativity play invites.
Christmas light showcases  fairytale of new  york playing on repeat everywhere you turn.
People rushing in the aisles to get the best turkey deal,
But yes I too feel a  lack of Christmas joy in  the air  and it is spreading.
But i  will  say be grateful for the little things be grateful your alive to see another Christmas and you have family or friends to celebrate with.
I always try to go to a children’s ward to donate  and spend time with them as when you go in  and leave your never  leave the same again worst thing is children having cancer.
That’s when I personally get my priorities in check and know what are the true important things.
Life is too short to be in a permanent depression.
So i urge everyone find your own joy or  write to Santa Claus and hope he  delivers it.

Spread the love
