Mitt Romney is one of my favourite politicians ever.
Even though he contested against my hero Barack Obama I still admire him due to his sense of class and sincerity.
He is one of the few politicians currently out there that can vote their conscience no hidden agenda, even when going against his party’s rules.
To me it was his left wing tendencies that cost him the presidency as most Republican pundits stated.
But at least he can sleep well at night knowing he didn’t compromise his morals for the sake of an easy life.
What always cracks me up was when he lost to Barack Obama his grandson too was smitten with him like the rest of the world and repeatedly reached out for his face several times.
To me that’s when politics was at it’s best and less combative, as it is now.
Senator Romney served as governor of Massachusetts from 2003 to 2007,and then United States senator from Utah since 2019.
And now he’s going to retire if anyone deserves a cushy retirement is him.
He has 5 children and reportedly 24 grandchildren.
True question how does he remember all their birthdays.
And cool fact his youngest child adopted an african-american boy ,so I guess he took to his fathers liberal tendencies which is a credit to him.
And they say you follow by example Sen Mitt Romney’s dad George Romney he too was a politician and used to march with Black Panther ,and campaigned tirelessly for racial equality.
What struck a core with me is when his beautiful wife Ann Romney battled cancer he doted on her, and even begged to quit his career which she refused.
That is a rare individual and truly does prove true love does still exist.
You can tell how someone will be in politics by they way they live their private life, and I always say a smart politician knows when to call it a day.
I wish him the best in his next chapter, and I hope one of his children will at least continue his legacy in politics.
But he will be a hard act to follow.
And serious question does Senator Romney ever age?
I truly want the number of his dermatalogist.
