Apparently due to the latest saga of the cost of living crisis it’s been reported that people are now desperate not to be invited to weddings due to their fear of expense.
As lets face it going to any wedding your deffo going to spend.
You may assume maybe it’s just singletons jealous of being in a room where love is in the air.
But no people are genuinely ditching invites because they can’t afford gifts for the elated couples.
or having to pay for petrol to travel to the venue or afford rail tickets if its a far destination.
And there is also the added dread of having to buy a new gown or face the ‘shame’ of recycling a gown, as in our modern era your not only at the mercy of snooty wedding guests your at the mercy of Instagram.
Surprisingly there is also a trend of people who like weddings as they search the internet for weddings, as they get to do their best ‘wedding crashers impression’ by storming random weddings, so they can get free food like canapes and cake slices that they can freeze and eat for ages.
And the saddest fact is people scared to attend weddings due to poverty have good jobs, but say after they pay bills they barely have enough for pot noodles.
How has life got to this.
I truly feel like now were going to soon be needing financial aid for weddings.
