What A Read

One of the most thought provoking memoirs I’ve had pleasure to read in my blankets is Jennette McCurdy
I’m Glad My Mom Died.
It truly is graphic for words and reads more like a horror story than a autobiography and to think its someone’s real life.
The book truly ruined my childhood.

I love Jennette McCurdy from her icarly days and I really believed she was a rising star her comic timing was unbelievable for her young years, and that was the show that nearly tempted me to have a web show but never had the guts and coursework was mounting for me so knew i would struggle.
To now know that spunky beautiful child starlet was living a life of horrors away from the camera is mind boggling.
One she was the financial provider almost for her entire family due to acting work to me was selfish.
To have the responsibility of feeding your family almost is no load any child should carry.
And her mum’ s behaviour encouraged her to develop her eating disorder tendencies.
Which followed to her adulthood .

Then her mum sexually abused her through intimate exams and never allowed her to shower on her own and to hit the nail on the head she didn’t know her father till her mum died when she presumed the father living with her was hers.

How much can one young woman take no wonder she developed a booze addiction.
What i give credit to her is the transformation through her personal journey to come out the other side and use her trauma to help others.

She was  a victim to her environment and now has removed herself from all toxic energy and now allowed to breathe.
And shockingly her mums death from cancer aided her.
She is  a survivor and i credit her for taking a step back from acting to continue working on herself.
I truly hope she realises  that she has nothing to be ashamed of and the amount of victims she has helped.

Her book shows there are some family bonds that should be breakable and  walking away could save your life.
