Review of The Real Housewives of Abuja.

Review of The Real Housewives of Abuja.

I definitely had to watch the northern version.

As I wanted to see did it live up to the hype, and I have mixed feelings, but don’t get me wrong it was still great for a premiere episode.

Here’s my opinions of some of the housewives.

I got the feeling the first housewives Tutupie  is  a chronic dater, and despite beauty and  success still hasn’t cracked the dating scene that to me is girl after our own hearts.

She  to me represents modern feminism she’s deciding to choose her destiny, and will not rush or most importantly be pressured   to be in a relationship to fulfill society’s narrow-minded  standards.

And that to me  refreshing.

(And how cool is it that  a woman who cooks also has pie in her name only in Nigeria lol)

Samantha she   just the epitome  of African  ‘’Marilyn Monroe’’ .

She just oozes understated glamour and has a rocking body for a mum.

But don’t let the bubble gum exterior fool you she’s  a astute businesswoman whose the creative director of Zohi Taglit, and has a non-profitit organization that empowers vulnerable woman.

I truly believe she’s a  one to watch, and will bring the drams when surely needed.

Also I respect anyone that can balance motherhood in those killer heels.

Total class lol.

Also Comfort again  a woman of many contradictions a high-flying lawyer but likes the fast life riding motorcycles.

And her hair is giving me  total rock star/Rihanna  vibes, what I find refreshing  is her laidbackness.

Will that be a storyline for clash with image conscious housewives you have to wait and see lol

But definitely her realness will win over viewers.

It’s won over me ,but I hope she will find her happy ending, as it’s sad a woman to have success and no one to share it with.

Also Arafa to me is the one who I know the internet was buzzing about.

She’s   a mum to twins, but also embraces the boho lifestyle.

And has a Zumba business which to me is like a party at work what we all secretly strive for.

I find it empowering for  someone to make money in teaching woman how to love themselves and feel good about themselves.

I know it may be controversial to some in Africa but in UK, it’s a common business and its good for fitness levels.

To me she also is a rebel born to stand out , and will not shy away from standing her ground if she has to.

This is just some of the housewives as I don’t want to give everything away for people who haven’t watched the show , but I got to admit the series is all about lavish living same as its Lagos counterpart.

But what I will say it shows  that  African woman are killing it as bosses, and are not relying on a man.

Which I think should be the premise for the show.

But all I can say forget the niceties at the party in episode 1 expect serious drama, and  I already  can see the  alliances  forming so again expect the ‘’naija  drama’’.

Spread the love
