is it A Win

Assisted Dying,
I don’t know how I feel about it makes my whole body squeamish that people think it’s a victory for people in the UK to have the right to die.
I think its potentially opened a can of worms which will spiral out of control before it get’s good.
I take in account life can be cruel some people can be burdened with a disease which doesn’t have cure, and leaves you in pain where death will be seen as  a blessing, I’ve seen it with my own eyes in  my young life.
And ironically  I watched an episode of holby city of a girl who was  a permanent resident in hospitals due to a hole in her heart and after countless surgeries told her  doctors  I want to not have surgery and die  on my own terms, and at home not on a  operating table.
Rightly so her mum protested despite her minor daughter seeking legal counsel when a judge came to the hospital to hear both sides from medical experts why she should have right to live and her counter argument in one of the most emotional scenes why she wanted to be not a burden to her mum anymore and die in her bedroom surrounded by loved ones the judge granted no the doctors should still operate give her a chance to live and sadly against her protest she died on the operating table.
So if she was allowed to die she would have had a few months in her bedroom alive,
so I take into account not all times medics can save us and sometimes dying people have fifth sense about unnecessary surgeries that do more harm than  good, but what this new law change could mean what about carers who have had enough of being a carer they can find loopholes and  maybe some vulnerable people could be at risk.
Or people marry terminally ill to get a slice of the pie and state they want to die when they are incapacitated.
There so many ways you can exploit this system and many people will be at the mercy of it.
And are we not putting pressure on doctors moral and ethic codes their job is to save lives not take lives,so  I can expect there will be some protests from some medic professionals.
I to me think this decision was rushed and  will do more harm than good.
There’s no clear cut answers and no winners in this new law.
