I will be the first person to admit I don’t know the first thing about football off-side rule or on-side rule.
It’s all gibberish to me.
So I bet you can guess why would I watch a football docu-series about aspiring footballers.
Wouldn’t it not bore me to death?
I can admit now I have been converted.
I now have appreciation and a new-found respect for the beautiful game of football.
As not only is it a game it truly is a training ground for next generation of well-disciplined men.
At times you get well jell of footballers’ lavish lifestyles.
But kind of get blindsighted by the amount of discipline and dedication that goes into be a professional football player.
The early mornings, and weekend training abstinence from Big Macs is not an easy feat.
What I think also has to be applauded which isn’t enough is all the parents sacrifice to help their child achieve their football dream.
All the way from standing in the rain cheering them on and paying for extra lessons.
They truly don’t get enough credit ,and to me are the true lions and lionesses to protecting their cubs.
Also, the managers and coaches their training methods are top-notch.
People usually think to teach is to shout they are professional while empathetic at the same time ,and are genuinely invested in all the youth’s development in the training academy.
Steve Parish the chairman of Crystal Palace.
I also have respect for him he has creative a diverse family dynamic in the club.
Which I wish more workplaces in Britain could emulate.
And what impressed me about the club they teach all the recruits the value of education, that they shouldn’t put all their eggs in one basket.
As football is a competitive career and you have to have a sense of perspective.
And the thing that made me want to weep.
Is the fact all the players reasons for wanting to succeed were virtually identical.
Not the superficial of wanting to buy their first rolls Royce.
All was I want to help my parents with the bills and improve their family’s condition.
Their maturity really astounded me and just shows that when their playing on the field.
They’re not just playing for their fans their literally playing for the lives.
What a heavy burden for a young person to carry, but if your honest to yourself if kicking a ball could elevate your family from poverty wouldn’t you too dust of your old football shoes and put your best leg tricks on display.
I hope there’s a new series, and hope all the new prospects all succeed.
As from watching the series ,they all definitely deserve contracts.
