The only beautiful thing about the beloved Queen’s death is it actually humanized her more.
When we think Queen Elizabeth we think about lavish dresses and a beautiful array of bespoke jewelry.
But actually, we got to hear all the array of stories from people across the world who were privilege to meet her ,you get to know the true sense of who she was as a person everything from her dry wit humour, compassion for vulnerable and interest in environmental issues.
You know there is far more to her than meets the eye.
It actually reminds me of my parents late friend Sultan Of Sokoto Muhammadu Maccido.
From my encounters of meeting him when I was young. I remember being inquisitive by his regal clothing and wanting to touch him, and my parents were angry about that ,as if I breached protocol,but he was amused and funnily enough he was angry with them, and told them to let me be free.
When he’s in Nigeria people have to have an appointment to meet him but to me he was a family friend who was humble soft-spoken, so I realized I feel the same way the Queens family,friends and acquaintances feel.
I can say I luckily have a personal memory with him, and just sad to know the nature of how he died tragically in a plane crash.
I think as human beings we tend to see notable figures as out of this world characters in a sense they are ,but if your lucky to know or meet them you realize their not so different from us, as we previously thought.
