The story that truly I found disturbing is allegedly Kemi Badenoch snubbed the congratulations from head of Nigerian diaspora Abike Dabiri-Erewa for being the first black leader in a English major political party.
I truly was wishing it was fake news.
I remember when I won my council elections the love from Nigerians all over the world was too much I still took time to reply even on my social media accounts.
And I payed homage to Nigeria in my maiden speech.
Disrespecting Nigeria will be like disrespecting my parents I can’t do that and it truly is ignorant.
It truly made me realise the stories about Kemi must be true that she can be snooty to the black community.
I always hear stories of her saying I don’t believe in black history month, and I don’t think she gave any senior black MP s role in her cabinet.
Which would be a crying shame being a black politician herself.
What I would say for the British conservative leader learn to love your self.
Self hate is the worse disease to have and is not flattering on you at all.
Nigerians were good to her family she has a vice president in her family for god sakes.
You will always hear President Trump praise his Scottish roots, Pres Obama praise his Irish and Kenyan roots ,British boxer Anthony Joshua his Nigerian roots.
Why can’t Kemi praise her Nigerian side and walk with african stride and pride.
Is she worried it will downmarket her?
There’s a expression I believe you can be a educated illiterate.
With all her education she doesn’t know you cant get to the top putting down and looking down on your black community at the same time.
Life doesn’t work like that.
You can talk with all the airs and graces and dress the part.
But once your skin is tanned the world will always see you as a black person.
You can’t run from the truth except you throw all the mirrors out of your house.
Kemi I wish you all the success in your leadership your flying the flag for modern feminism, but please learn to love yourself and your black community.
That to me is when you will be truly elevated in eyes of the black community in Britain.
