I’m so proud that this morning Kemi Badenoch has just been selected as British Conservative leader.
Wow I nearly fell of my chair I couldn’t believe it took me some time for this joyous news to set in.
The first black woman to lead a British party wow and it was done through Conservative Party members not just handed to her.
Now that is democracy.
What’s baffling why did Labour party which is deemed to be a liberal party not have this accolade associated with them.
This just proves my point just because your ethnic especially black doesn’t mean you have to vote for the party you deem diverse.
When they actually may not be to certain races,
You have to be be prepared to be the change to make the change and Kemi certainly has done that.
The black community hasn’t thrived in Britain the way they should have been.
In democrat party they should have been used as the benchmark by British Labour party for diversity they have black Mexican politicians all excelling in front bench roles check out defence and white house press secretary even the Republican party are creating a lot of roles for the African American community especially Donald Trump who the black people thrived under, but British labour party the only prominent black face I notice is David Lammy.
Are they so scarce for new black faces to put in the front seats near the prime minister.
And again why cant they bring Chukka Umunna back a man who was essentially was a rising star but his light was burnt out before he got the chance to really shine in mainstream politics.
Why I have tears in my eyes Labour government deported the most Ghanaians and Nigerians without legal representation one even wanted to kill himself , and now a British woman of Nigerian descent is now leading the Conservatives.
It just show Conservative have come a long way and are willing to embrace diversity that can bring out the best in British.
I believe Kemi in some aspects we shouldn’t choose to be victims we should try to write our own history and encourage the new generation and lead to the rebirth of the black community which to me is incredibly suppressed and downgraded in Britain thank God Conservative party is willing to enable us to break that cycle,
Well Done Kemi put your feet up later today as all your hard work campaigning in the country must have played havoc with your feet.
I know it did for me when I last campaigned only survived with my snuggly creeper shoes.
But as they say hard work does pay off and I know your Dad will be smiling down on you today.
